Vertical Cow Pasture
Bardonecchia A view from the beginning of my longest day for a many years -- about 40k in distance with more than 2,000 meters of elevation gain. And drop. What a fantastic hike. Essentially from a little past the point where this photo was taken, one hikes for hours and hours though vertical cow pasture. Steep cow pasture. Why don't the cows fall down? Along the way the views of nearby peaks, glaciers, etc. are wonderful. The wildflowers are endless and on the route I took, the trail on the way back is really steep.
